One Nation party leader Pauline Hanson has publicly called on Mark Latham to resign from his seat in the New South Wales Parliament, citing serious allegations of abuse, manipulation, and internal party betrayal.

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has publicly demanded that Mark Latham vacate his seat in the New South Wales (NSW) Parliament following serious allegations of abuse, manipulation, and betrayal within the party ranks. The call marks a dramatic turning point in the relationship between two of the party’s most high-profile figures.

Senator Hanson made her statement amid growing concerns from party members about Latham’s conduct. She accused the former NSW leader of deliberately undermining her leadership and misusing his position for personal influence. According to Hanson, Latham no longer represents the values and integrity that One Nation stands for.

“It’s not about personal grudges,” Hanson stated. “This is about the people of New South Wales who voted for One Nation not Mark Latham as an individual. The seat belongs to the party.”

Hanson described a series of troubling internal issues, claiming that Latham used manipulative tactics and intimidation to gain control and sway within the party’s NSW branch. These actions, she said, have caused division and damage to the movement she founded nearly three decades ago.

The fallout between Hanson and Latham has been developing over time but has now reached a breaking point. Their once-strong political alliance began to show signs of strain after the 2023 NSW state election. Latham, elected to an eight-year term in the NSW Legislative Council, has since parted ways with the party leadership but continues to hold his parliamentary seat.

Hanson emphasized that the seat was won under the One Nation banner and should return to the party. “Mark ran under our name and platform. It is only fair to step down if he no longer aligns with One Nation or its direction,” she added.

Latham, a former federal Labor leader, has yet to formally respond to Hanson’s latest statements. However, he has previously denied claims of misconduct and has maintained that he continues to represent conservative values.
