Brisbane Police Appeal for Help Locating Missing Girl

Brisbane, Australia  11 August 2025  Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a 12-year-old girl reported missing from Tarragindi, in Brisbane’s south, since the afternoon of Sunday, 10 August.

According to Queensland Police, the girl was last seen leaving a Kara Street address in Tarragindi at approximately 3:00pm. Around 4:45pm, she was sighted on Roma Street in Brisbane City, but there have been no confirmed sightings since that time.

Authorities say both family members and police officers are concerned for the girl’s welfare due to her young age and an existing medical condition.

The missing girl is described as Caucasian, approximately 150 centimetres tall, with a slim build and light brown hair. At the time she was last seen, she was wearing a blue hoodie, grey sweatpants, and white shoes. Police also believe she may have been pushing a beach-style trolley containing a teddy bear.

Investigators have launched a public appeal, urging anyone who has seen the girl or has information about her whereabouts to come forward immediately. They are encouraging members of the public to contact Policelink on 131 444 or provide information anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Police have also addressed the girl directly, asking her to make contact with her family or authorities to confirm she is safe.

Officers have been reviewing CCTV footage from the areas where the girl was last seen and speaking with people who may have been in the vicinity on Sunday afternoon. Authorities have not released details of any potential leads or reasons for her movements after leaving Tarragindi, focusing instead on locating her as quickly as possible.

Community Urged to Assist
Queensland Police are reminding residents of Brisbane and surrounding areas to remain vigilant and to report any sightings that match the girl’s description. They stress that timely information can be critical in locating missing persons, particularly when the person involved is a child.

Members of the public are advised not to approach or detain the girl, but to contact authorities immediately with any relevant information.
