Hampton Park Receives $1M Playground and Facility Upgrades

The City of Casey has confirmed a series of key community upgrades in Hampton Park, reflecting its ongoing investment in local infrastructure and public spaces.

Backed by the council’s latest budget, the improvements include an overhaul of parks and playgrounds, sporting pavilion enhancements, and drainage works. These developments are being prioritised by Mayor Cr Stefan Koomen and River Gum Ward Councillor Lynette Pereira.

Cr Koomen said Hampton Park has been a strong focus of his since his election.

Cr Pereira added that the upgrades are a direct response to resident feedback.

One of the headline projects is the $1 million upgrade of the Marjorie Eastick Reserve Playground. The 1.7-hectare park will be redeveloped with new play equipment, seating, tree planting, and landscaping. Community input will shape the final design to ensure the space reflects local preferences and needs.

In addition to the playground renewal, improvements are underway on the area’s drainage systems to help manage stormwater and protect surrounding infrastructure. These works aim to support the suburb’s long-term resilience and liveability.

Sporting facilities across Hampton Park are also set for refurbishment, with the council highlighting the importance of providing quality spaces for clubs and community events. The upgrades are designed to improve access, safety, and overall user experience.
