Sydney Police Search for Missing Woman Lindy Cameron

Police are appealing to the public for help in locating a woman who has been reported missing from Sydney’s southern suburbs.

Lindy Cameron, 60, was last seen in Mortdale on Wednesday, 23 July 2025. Authorities were alerted to her disappearance nearly two weeks later, on Tuesday, 5 August, when attempts to contact her were unsuccessful. Officers from the St George Police Area Command have since launched an investigation into her whereabouts.

Concerns have been raised for Ms Cameron’s welfare, as she lives with several medical conditions that require ongoing medication. Police have stated that her health needs make her disappearance particularly concerning.

Ms Cameron is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 180cm tall, with a medium build and blonde to light brown hair. At this stage, authorities have not been able to confirm what she was wearing at the time she went missing.

A coordinated search effort is now underway. Officers have appealed to residents in the Mortdale area and the wider St George region to report any possible sightings or relevant information. Police are particularly urging anyone with dashcam footage, CCTV footage, or who may have seen Ms Cameron in recent days to come forward.

“We are deeply concerned for Lindy’s safety, especially given her medical needs,” a spokesperson for the NSW Police Force said. “Her family and friends are understandably anxious, and we are asking the public to assist in any way they can.”

Authorities have not disclosed any further details about the circumstances leading up to her disappearance. However, they have confirmed that all avenues of investigation remain open.

The public is urged to contact St George Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 if they have any information that may assist in locating Ms Cameron. All information will be treated with confidentiality, and reports can be made anonymously.

The NSW Police Force continues to coordinate with local health services and emergency responders as part of their efforts. Patrols and checks are being conducted in hospitals, public facilities, and transport hubs across the region.

As the search continues, police are urging the community to stay vigilant and report anything unusual that may help trace Ms Cameron’s movements in the days since she was last seen.
