A violent crash in Melbourne’s northern suburb of Roxburgh Park is under investigation after a man was found with both severe crash injuries and a suspected gunshot wound. Authorities believe the incident may have been a deliberate act rather than a random attack.

According to Victoria Police, emergency services responded to the scene around 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, where a white Toyota coupe had smashed through a park fence and collided with a tree near the intersection of Donald Cameron Drive and Bridgewater Road. The male driver, whose identity has not yet been released, was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad (ACS) are leading the investigation. Upon examining the victim, medical personnel discovered what appeared to be a gunshot wound to his lower body, raising immediate suspicions that this may be more than just a traffic incident.
