Point Cook Man Wanted Over Public Indecency Incident

Victoria Police detectives are seeking public assistance after a man allegedly exposed himself and committed a lewd act in front of two children at a Point Cook bus stop earlier this week.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:50pm on Wednesday, 2 July, at a bus stop located near the intersection of Dunnings Road and Point Cook Road. Police say the unknown man engaged in a sexual act in full view of the minors.

Following the confrontation, the children fled the scene, running westbound on Dunnings Road to get away from the offender. They later reported the incident to authorities, prompting an investigation by the Transit Crime Investigation Unit.

Detectives have since released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries. The individual is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 20 and 30 years, and having a dark moustache and beard.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing blue jeans, a black jacket, and a black cap.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have seen the man in the area around the time of the offence to come forward. They are especially interested in speaking with individuals who may have dashcam footage or CCTV recordings from nearby properties.

The Transit Crime Investigation Unit continues to investigate the matter and is treating the incident as a serious offence. Authorities are also working to determine whether the man may be linked to any similar reports in the area.
