The Queensland Government has opened its precinct at Ekka 2025, attracting over 50,000 visitors eager to engage firsthand with public safety, health, lifestyle, and economic planning displays. The exhibit sits within the broader context of the Royal Queensland Show (Ekka), a nine-day event running from August 9 to 17 in Brisbane.

Minister for Primary Industries Tony Perrett, who noted that he hasn’t missed an Ekka in four decades, offered remarks highlighting the event’s significance in bringing together regional and urban Queenslanders. He pointed out that it allows residents to see tangibly how the government delivers tangible benefits: making communities safer, restoring critical health services, bolstering the economy, and planning for the future.

A key feature supporting visitor access is the newly upgraded Exhibition Station at the Brisbane Showgrounds. This transport infrastructure upgrade is designed to streamline event arrival and departure for hundreds of thousands, reinforcing the government’s focus on practical improvements.

Within the government precinct, attendees can interact with state personnel and explore a range of exhibits: an all-terrain police vehicle, an operational ambulance, and representatives, such as Olympians and Paralympians, demonstrating initiatives tied to community safety, public health, lifestyle improvements, and planning for Queensland’s economic strength and future growth.

Ekka 2025 itself remains Queensland’s largest annual event, drawing about 400,000 attendees with a lineup including agricultural competitions, handcrafted displays, stunning entertainment, award-winning food like strawberry sundaes, carnival rides, showbags, and sideshow alley offerings.

Through its interactive presence at the show, the Queensland Government aims to underscore its hands-on approach to improving everyday lives, demonstrating progress in public services while celebrating the state’s proud agricultural and community heritage.
